Hi, I'm Daphne,
The founder of this little wine-obsessed operation and I'm your Coppiera. I speak, taste, judge, debate, and happily nerd out about wine. At heart, I’m a lifelong student of culture, using wine as my lens to explore history, geography, and the people behind every bottle. That curiosity carries me across regions both storied and obscure, in search of bottles that express a true sense of place.
How Wine Nerdy Are You?
Thanks for asking. I earned a Diploma from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET), a sommelier certification from the International Guild of Sommeliers, became an Italian Wine Ambassador with the Vinitaly International Academy, and even spent time as a Master of Wine candidate — because apparently I don’t like free time.
What's Your Street Cred?
In a previous life, I was a wine buyer for the grocery chain Safeway, responsible for choosing wines for 284 stores across Northern California, Nevada, and Hawaii. My world ranged from crowd-pleasers like Butter to icons like Pol Roger’s Sir Winston Churchill to hidden gems like Donnafugata’s Etna Rosso — and just about everything in between.
